EVENTions WAS one of Houston’s premier event agencies and the quiet force behind many of Houston’s most notable event projects – Holiday Lights in Hermann Park, one of the city’s largest festivals; H-E-B’s community outreach events (including 21 store grand openings); the largest forklift product introduction ever, for Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift; and the Houston Marathon’s Health and Fitness Expo. Over the years, we have worked with Duke Power, Cambridge Energy Research, the Catholic Diocese, Wachovia, the Jimmy Carter Work Project, Deutsch Bank, Bertek Pharmaceuticals, and Comerica Bank among others. (We almost got to work with Playboy at Super Bowl XXVIII, …)

But the time came to finally relocate to the Great North State – North Carolina – a dream of many years. Houston was a ready playground for our event innovations, and we will always appreciate the acceptance we felt. Special thanks to our incredible clients and supporters - Holly Montalbano, Don Henn, Father Gately, Merry Schooley, Malcolm Hackney, Andy DiRaddo, Fred Facker, Will LeBlanc, Cynthia Britt/Dabelgott, Misha Gautreaux, Frank Yoculan, David Schmoll, Debby Butler, Jeanne Culver, Frank Tritico, John Lauletta, Christy Pforr Simken, Christina Acosta, Chris Knapp, Judy Frow, Richard Hoggatt, Scott Washburn, James Mackey, Victoria Barclay, Will Crump, and many, many others. We had a great run, we did good business, helped some people along the way, and enjoyed many challenges of bringing something new and wonderful to the event scene.

I thank my wife specially, for her undying support and oh-so-important encouragement in the challenging times. She kept the steady job, let me vent my frustrations, and pitched in under some extraordinary circumstances (Theta Antique Show, All American Showcase for two). I love you, Sandy.

Thank you to everyone who was part of the EVENTions story – in Houston. We are now exploring several options in North Carolina and perhaps there will be another chapter to write.

In the following pages, you can read about projects that took us halfway around Texas, to Florida, Bermuda, and the Bahamas.
